Everything you need to know about carry-on, checked baggage, allowances, and fees when booking with Travelopot.
Pack smart, fly easy
Know Your LimitsBaggage allowances are determined by the airline, fare class, route, and cabin. At Travelopot, we help you understand these rules before you fly. Always check your booking confirmation and the operating airline's website for the most accurate information, as policies may vary by carrier and destination.
Carry-on allowances typically include:
Checked baggage limits depend on your fare type and route:
Typically 20–30 kg (44–66 lbs) depending on the airline.
Usually 25–35 kg (55–77 lbs) with priority handling.
Generally 30–40 kg (66–88 lbs) across most carriers.
Often 40–50 kg (88–110 lbs) with additional perks.
If your baggage exceeds the allowance, additional fees may apply:
Certain items require special handling or advance approval, including sporting equipment (golf clubs, bicycles, skis), musical instruments, strollers, wheelchairs, and pets traveling in the cabin or hold. These items may have separate allowances, fees, and packaging requirements. Please notify us at the time of booking so we can arrange the necessary approvals with the airline.
For safety and security, the following items are not allowed in baggage:
Fireworks, gasoline, lighter fluid, and similar materials.
Firearms, ammunition, and sharp objects (unless properly declared).
Spare batteries must be carried in the cabin, not checked.
Jewelry, cash, and electronics should be kept in hand baggage.
If your baggage is lost, delayed, or damaged, please report it immediately to the airline's baggage service desk at the arrival airport before leaving the terminal. You will receive a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) number, which is required to file a claim. Compensation is governed by the airline's conditions of carriage and international conventions such as the Montreal Convention.
Label your bags with your name and contact details, keep valuables and medication in your carry-on, weigh your baggage at home, arrive early at the airport, and always keep your baggage receipt and tags safe. Following these simple tips can help you avoid unnecessary fees and delays.
Baggage policies differ between airlines, especially for low-cost carriers where checked baggage may not be included in the base fare. Always review the specific rules of the airline operating your flight. If you have connecting flights on multiple carriers, the most restrictive baggage policy may apply to your entire journey.
We may update this Baggage Policy to reflect changes in airline rules or industry regulations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We recommend reviewing this page before every trip to ensure you are aware of the latest requirements.
